Temporal Behavior of Quantum Mechanical Systems
Received (received date) Revised (revised date) 1 2 Temporal behavior of quantum mechanical systems The temporal behavior of quantum mechanical systems is reviewed. We mainly focus our attention on the time development of the so-called " survival " probability of those systems that are initially prepared in eigenstates of the unperturbed Hamiltonian, by assuming that the latter has a continuous...
متن کاملModelling of Quantum Mechanical Control Systems
Abstract-A program of studies of quantum mechanical control systems is initiated. Following the historical development of quantum mechanics, the quantum control model is obtained from a corresponding classical structure. Second order linear and bilinear control systems as well as first order linear control systems are investigated; it is further demonstrated that the analysis may be extended to...
متن کاملReliability of quantum-mechanical communication systems
We are concerned with the detection of a set of M messages that are transmitted over a channel disturbed by chaotic thermal noise when quantum effects in the communication systems are taken into account. Our attention was restricted to the special case in which the density operators specifying the states of the received field are commutative. From quantum-mechanical description of the noise and...
متن کاملRobust stability of uncertain linear quantum systems.
This paper considers the problem of robust stability for a class of uncertain linear quantum systems subject to unknown perturbations in the system Hamiltonian. The case of a nominal linear quantum system is considered with quadratic perturbations to the system Hamiltonian. A robust stability condition is given in terms of a strict bounded real condition.
متن کاملStability of local quantum dissipative systems
Open quantum systems weakly coupled to the environment are modeled by completely positive, trace preserving semigroups of linear maps. The generators of such evolutions are called Lindbladians. In the setting of quantum many-body systems on a lattice it is natural to consider Lindbladians that decompose into a sum of local interactions with decreasing strength with respect to the size of their ...
